This is in great vintage condition.
The humidor is embossed on two sides “HUMIDOR” and embossed on the bottom “DUN-RITE WOOD NOV INC BKLYN NY”.
It also has “Duraglass”, a symbol I cannot make out (maybe an I in an oval ring) and the numbers “14”, “5” and “1”.
There are no chips or nicks around the rim and the inside is very clean.
The wood cover is very good and has the moisture absorbing disc on the inside which is marked “AXTEC”.
There are a couple of very small chips out of that disc.
The pipe scraper is unmarked.
The pipe stand is solid with no chips or scratches.
I believe it is walnut as is the cover.
It still has the brown felt on the bottom but that is worn around the edges.
There are five pipes, two with carved briars.
After considerable squinting through a magnifying glass here is what is written on the briars (my eyes aren’t what they used to be.)
The one I was able to find online is a Darby straight stem with an imported briar and a cream colored stem.
One is marked Kaywoodie – something I can’t make out – Imported Briar.
Another one is marked Kaywoodie – Standard – Imported Briar.
I think one reads DARBY Carved Briar but I am not 100% sure of that.
And the last one I believe is a WDC MILANO Lock Mount Imported Briar.
This set comes with vintage dust at no extra cost and could use some TLC to clean it up (see cleaning note below).
