Description
This is a beautiful, ivory guipure lace v-neck wedding gown with an open keyhole back and trumpet skirt. The dress is made of a cotton lace, which makes it super soft and easy to move in (I wanted to be comfortable on my wedding day!). It’s a relatively light dress, and breathes well, so you don’t need to worry about getting overheated. I wanted to look elegant on my wedding day, but still feel like I was more in my Saturday lounge wear, and this dress fit the bill perfectly! There is typical wear and tear (a couple of small tears in the lace), but you have to look really closely to see them.
I will cover shipping to anywhere in the US.
I made minimal alterations:
·
Hemmed it (I was 5’6” with my shoes on)
o
This also gave the dress a bit more of a train, which was the one thing missing from the dress originally, in my mind (though of course you could further hem it if you don’t want a train)
·
Shortened the torso by 2”
o
This was done by raising the straps and then lowering the arm holes so as to maintain the look of the back
·
Added cups (easily removable if you don’t want them)
·
Added a bustle (I was surprised to find out that you have to pay ~0-400 to add this!)
o
It gathers at three points (this may be called an English Bustle, but I’m not positive), using buttons and loops (which are undetectable when not bustled)
·
Added elastic on the inside of the back so that it laid flat against my skin (I was surprised this wasn’t already a part of the dress either, and definitely worth adding)
