Italy has a long tradition of making beautiful silver. Old pieces of Roman silver flatware have been uncovered and are found in museums. For souvenir spoons, the Italians used designs from the Roman to Medieval and Renaissance periods.

Know they are silver because spoon bowls were black. Gave them only a light polish. Brass patina was left as found.
