    Description:  Before there was an Air Mobility Command (AMC) and a Military Airlift Command (MAC), there was the Military Air Transport Service (MATS).  MATS was activated in 1948 shortly after the founding of the Air Force and replaced by MAC in 1966.  As a result,  These decals can be used on 1/144  and some 1/72nd scale aircraft of that era.  That includes aircraft such as the C-46, C-47, C-54 (DC-4), C-118 (DC-6), C-97, C-121 (Constellation), C-123, C-124, C-130 Hercules, C-141  to name a few.   These aircraft supported operations in the Berlin Airlift, Korean War, Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam among others.  This decal sheet contains an abundance of MATS symbols are designs.  Fin flashes for MATS Pacific, Atlantic and just MATS.  They are provided and can be cut to shape to fit multiple aircraft.
    These decals are printed on clear decal paper and designed for models with a metallic or white/light gray background.  Decals must be trimmed closely for neat appearance to fit your aircraft.
