Longchamp France 13 3/4" PLATTER Classic TULIP Handpainted Ceramic Faience

Description

This 13 3/4 inch serving platter is in the classic Longchamp Faience Tulip pattern, hand-painted with leafy stems bearing large, maroon-red tulips and colorful multiflorals. The scalloped rim is highlighted with green trim. The bottom is labeled with the Longchamp France trademark and the "Peint a la main" (i.e., hand-painted) designation. It measures 9 5/8" wide. The colors are bright and the details are distinct. As with pretty much every vintage piece of Faience pottery, there is crazing on all surfaces and a slightly discolored spot on the upper right (see pic).  It also has a tiny pinhead size flaw in the glaze on the back, but it isn't very easy to see. This will be carefully packed and shipped via USPS, or free local pickup outside Washington DC.
