Description

For sale we have a vintage silverplate souvenir spoon from International Silver's U.S.A. 13 Colonies Bicentennial Collection. The spoon depicts the state seal of North Carolina inside its bowl, with the name of the state written up the front of the stem. At the top of the handle are the eagle and shield of the seal of the United States, surrounded by a circle of 13 stars, with a ribbon beneath showing 1789, the year North Carolina ratified the U.S. Constitution. On the reverse of the handle is a pair of crossed flags, the modern U.S. flag and the "Betsy Ross" flag. Down the reverse of the stem is written 'International (I)(S) Bicentennial 1776-1976.
It measures 6 1/8" long by 1 1/4" wide, and weighs 1.2 oz. This spoon is in very good condition, with some wear on the raised lettering, and some surface scratches. The plating appears to be intact, with no wear.
