Charlie McCarthy silverplate Collectable Souvenir Spoon circa 1930s to 50s

Description

Charlie McCarthy was the ventriloquist's dummy for Edgar Bergen
starting in the 1930's. The pair were quite popular through the 1970s
when they appeared on The Muppet Show and in The Muppet Movie.
Bergen died in 1978, leaving Charlie without a voice.
This spoon came from my grandfather's house and probably was
given to the family's souvenir spoon collection between the 30s
and the 50s. It is Duchess silverplate, 6" long. There is some wear on
both sides of the rounded part. Charlie is still crisp and dapper
looking.
