The coin is round in shape with the raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is grained.
Obverse: at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus (in the center) and a circumferential inscription: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center - a heraldic sign - the emblem of the internal troops of the Republic of Belarus; at the bottom – an inscription: 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE) and on the left – the year of issue.
Reverse: in the center in a ring with the image of the flag of the Republic of Belarus, made in heraldic style - the image of a bison inscribed in the map of Belarus, framed by diverging rays and a laurel branch; around the circle of the inscription: above -УНУТРАНЫЯ ВОЙСКІ. 100 ГОД (INTERNAL TROOPS. 100 YEARS); below - Айчына, Гонар, Абавязак (Fatherland, Honor, Duty).
