The coin is round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The edge of the coins is reeded.
Obverse
at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; in the center of the coin within the circle – the image of a fragment of the four-faced reversible belt produced by the manufactory of Slutsk (1760(1762)–1776) and exhibited in the Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture; at the top along the rim an inscription: РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); on the left – the year of issue, on the right – artistic element, on the bottom – denomination: 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE).
Reverse
on the left along the rim an inscription: СЛУЦКІЯ ПАЯСЫ. ТКАЦТВА (THE BELTS OF SLUTSK. WEAVING); on the left – the image of a merchant’s figure, symbolizing trade communications of the city of Slutsk, on the right – the ornamental design consisting from the arms of Slutsk, a weaver behind the weaving loom, producing traditional textile belts, and images of the town ( as a symbol of the developed center of the manufacturing production).
