    The coins have the shape of a circle, on the obverse and reverse sides there is a protruding edging along the circumference, a milling edge with a notch.
    Obverse
    at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center of the coin in a circle there is an image of a fragment of a one-sided belt made at the Slutsk Manufactory (1776–1780) and located in the collection of the National Museum of History and Culture of Belarus (on a silver coin, a fragment of a belt was made using tampon printing); on the outer circle at the top there is an inscription: RESPUBLIKA BELARUS; on the left - the year of minting, on the right - the fineness of the alloy (on a silver coin) and an artistic element (on a copper-nickel coin), below - the denomination: 20 RUBLES (on a silver one) and 1 RUBEL (on a copper-nickel).
