The coins have a rectangular shape, on the obverse and reverse sides there is a protruding edging around the perimeter. Lateral surface of coins with a notch.
Obverse
in the center - an ornament in the form of a vine, symbolizing the Mother of God, inside which is a memorial cross, installed on the castle site in Zaslavl in connection with the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the Orthodox Church in Belarus, and a sample of the alloy; at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus and an inscription in two lines: REPUBLIC OF BELARUS; below - denomination: 20, 50, 500 and 1000 RUBLES, to the right of the denomination - the year of minting.
Reverse
in the center - the image of the Blessed Virgin "Barkolabovskaya"; on coins with a face value of 20 and 500 rubles - images of halos over the Virgin and Jesus Christ, stars and borders on the clothes of the Virgin, as well as church ornaments are filled with gold; at the bottom on all coins there is an inscription: BARKALABAYSKAYA.
