The coins have the shape of a regular polygon with eight corners, with an edge protruding along the perimeter on the front and back sides. The side surface of the coins is notched.
Obverse
at the top is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus, next to it is the inscription: REPUBLIC OF BELARUS; in the center - an excerpt from a poem by Yanka Kupala on a stylized image of a wing, below it on the left - the year of minting (on the silver coin - the fineness of the alloy); below – denomination: 10 RUBLES (on silver) and 1 RUBEL (on copper-nickel).
Reverse
in the center - stylized images of the modern building of the National Library of Belarus and books in the form of birds flying through the octagon; at the top there is the inscription: NATIONAL LIBRARY OF BELARUS. 100 YEARS.
