About Archer Fine Transfers:
Archer Fine Transfers is well known in the modeling community for producing highly accurate transfers of excellent quality. Although they have some traditional water-slide decals available, their primary product line is dry transfers. Dry transfers are are markings that you don't have to use water to apply, but instead you gently rub them on with a blunt tool or object, when they are dry.
The benefit of using dry transfers over water slide decals is that dry transfers are usually more realistic in appearance because they appear painted on like real vehicle markings. This better appearance is due to the transfers not having excess carrier film and also being generally thinner than water slide decals so they snuggle down and hug the object better.
Decal Specifications:
Kit specific set for Tamiya Humvee. Instrument faces fit the kit precisely with tick-marks and pointer needles matching the kit details. May also be used with other kits. Comes with idetailed llustrated color placement instructions. This set of instruments and placards is designed for a specific kit from a specific manufacturer. Will they work on a different kit? Perhaps but these are designed so that things like numbers and pointer needles match any raised details on the kit parts perfectly. Another thing we have discovered is that things like dash layouts and bezel sizes vary from kit to kit and these transfers are sized to fit this kit perfectly with no (or only very minor) alterations. It is our goal to release these sets for every injected molded kit on the market that comes with an instrument panel.
