This Listing is for an Antique Figural Cigar Store Cast Page Boy Cigar Lamp or Lighter. This Amazing piece would be placed on a counter in a tobacco shop, cigar store or a country store. A very rare and desirable piece from a by gone era. Probably Ca 1890 - 1910 is my best judgement. This beautifully cast piece is quite heavy and is cast in “White Metal” with some sort of a wash.!!! The brass lamp with glass globe is not original to the piece but it sure displays nicely.
It is not electrified and doesn't appear to have a gas fitting. Overall measurements without the wooden base is 22 1/4” high x 8 1/2” wide. The wood base is 8 3/4” square and is contemporary. I have included a reference photo of a Page boy and girl Ca. 1887 by Wm Demuth & Co. New York. This is a very rare find! I try to describe items as I hold them. Please see pictures.
