LOT OF 2, ANTIQUE CIRCA 1920s ERA,
SILVERPLATED SOUVENIR SPOONS FROM
THE ERNST KERN COMPANY / KERN'S DEPARTMENT STORE,
DETROIT, MICHIGAN USA
NO MONOGRAMS OR ENGRAVINGS,
THEY MEASURE 6" LONG AND BOTH WEIGH 45.5 GRAMS
They show light wear from use and storage, including minor marks and scratches. They have been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned, and they have nice shine and are very clean.  They are straight, not bent, have no personal engravings, with no major issues at all.
One has the image of the downtown Detroit store in the bowl and reads 1891-1922 KERN'S SILVER JUBILEE.  It is made by 1881 Rogers and comes from their 1915 Salem / Lowell pattern.  The other has the image of Ernst Kern and reads KERN'S FOUNDER'S MONTH 1883-1923 THE ERNST KERN COMPANY.  It is made by Rogers Cutlery Co. / R.C. Co. and comes from their 1927 Orleans pattern.
This is a great, very collectible set for those that collect souvenir spoons, interesting silver, or Kern's and Detroit history!  A very unique pair!  Add them to your collection today!
