6-pc Vintage French Faience Alfred Renoleau Handpainted Tabacco Set Rouen Tray

Description

Exceptional old hand-painted tobacco set from the faiencerie Alfred Renoleau in Angouleme (in the center of France). It’s elegant pattern is inspired by the Old Rouen “lambrequins” but here with a typcal Renoleau touch with “croisillons”. The pieces are signed AR A (see close-up photos). Please note that the RED BULL can is simply used a a sizing guide and is not included in the sale.
The 6 piece set consists of:
- tray (10” x 7.75” x 1” tall)
- tobacco “box" with lid (4.5” tall x 9” circumference)
- cigarette “box" (2.75” tall)
- match “box” (1.75” tall)
- chipped “box” (2.25” tall)
Condition:
This set is old but well taken care of. Tray has an area or 2 where the glaze didn't cover completely. Tobacco box’s lid has a few chips/nicks in the outermost rim. The 2.25” tall “box” (cup) cas a chip on the rim; please see last close-up photo.
Shipping:
We pacakge very carefully and ship USPS Priority Mail with insurance. A signature is required on items 0+.
